Every year Apple releases a new apple, last year's unveiling took place in October, although
traditionally it takes place in September. This year, new iPhones should be released according to the
standard schedule. In this piece, we have tried to gather all that is known about the iPhone 13 series.

According to rumours, the iPhone 13 series will have as many versions as there were in iPhone 12:
iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max. And according to some Asian
sources, Apple may skip the number 13 and release the iPhone 12s and then immediately the iPhone
14.

Design
Rumours about the design of the iPhone 13 started appearing almost immediately after the release
of the iPhone 12. The first rumours were very interesting, with the smartphone being credited with a
120Hz display, a fingerprint sensor built into the display and a completely "portless" design. There
was also talk of 1TB of flash memory.

The iPhone 13 series smartphones could be similar to the iPhone 12, but slightly thicker and with
reduced "fringes". The iPhone 13's fingerprint scanner could be optical and work together with Face ID.

Known insiders don't rule out that the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max will be quite different from the
mini and standard versions – getting exclusive colouring, a redesigned camera and other changes.

Renders
Insiders and tipsters are trying to guess exactly what the iPhone 13 will look like. Numerous leaks and
renders are appearing online. Among them, several features can be highlighted. A mock-up of the
iPhone 13 Pro has surfaced online, with a smaller notch and a new camera layout.

Portal MyDrivers, citing a source from the social network Weibo (China's equivalent of Twitter),
published high-quality renders of all four smartphones in the iPhone 13 series.

And live photos have already begun to emerge, with the first showing the iPhone 13 Pro in Rose
Gold.

The designer showed the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 mini in 9 different colours.

Differences between iPhone 13 and iPhone 12
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, a renowned analyst, the iPhone 13 cameras will not undergo major
changes compared to the iPhone 12. The main hardware change will be the iPhone 13 Pro Max main
module lens – the aperture of the aperture will increase from f/1.5 to f/1.6.

Enthusiasts have compared the iPhone 13 mini to the iPhone 12 mini. Not only have the lenses
gotten bigger, but they have been positioned diagonally instead of vertically. The Face ID cutout will
become smaller.

The iPhone 13 Pro Max may look almost the same as last year's version according to tipsters, only the
'fringes' will be smaller, but the smartphones will be 0.17mm thicker than the iPhone 12 Pro. This will
be due to improved cameras and a bigger battery.

The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will each get 1TB of memory, while the entire range will
get a LiDAR scanner. The liDAR scanner could boost the smartphone's camera performance.

The iPhone 13 series smartphones may also get a 25W fast charging feature. In addition to charging,
the iPhone 13 may get reinforced MagSafe magnets and a night sky shooting mode.

Apple tested under-screen Touch ID, but eventually dropped it. But the new Face ID sensors will be
able to recognise the wearer while wearing a mask.
